About Geigyr

Geigyr is an operational monitoring practice based in central New Jersey. We install sensors, build dashboards, configure alerting, automate compliance reporting, and run all of it as a managed service for restaurants, food producers, and distributors across NJ, NY, and CT.

How the managed service works

Most prospects ask the same question on the first call: "You're going to be watching my walk-in at 2 a.m.?" The honest answer is no, and neither is anyone else. Here is how the service actually works.

The platform runs continuously. Sensors transmit on their own schedule over LoRaWAN to a cellular gateway at your site. The gateway forwards data to a hosted platform that runs 24/7 without anyone touching it. This is the same architecture used by every credible monitoring vendor. Nobody is watching a screen. The platform is.

Alerts go to the people who can act on them. When a walk-in drifts out of range, the alert goes to your kitchen manager, your GM, or whoever is on call. Not to a monitoring center. Not to a queue. Directly to the person who needs to walk over and check the door seal. The alert includes what happened, what to look at, and how long the equipment has been out of range.

Compliance documentation is automated. Weekly logs, audit-ready reports, and incident records are generated by the platform and delivered to your inbox or your auditor's. No human assembles them. No spreadsheet to maintain.

The principal handles design, installation, and the things software can't. Site walks. Hardware selection. Network setup. Workflow tuning. Root cause when something is genuinely broken. Customer relationship. Quarterly check-ins. Real conversations when a real person is needed.

This is how small managed service practices have worked for years. The platform is the always-on layer. The principal is the relationship and escalation layer. Both pieces are required and neither is faked.

Who runs Geigyr

Geigyr is owned and operated by Brian Guilfoyle, a Monmouth County resident with eleven years across Splunk and Databricks in technical sales, sales engineering, and solutions architecture, with a focus on industrial and manufacturing customers. Multiple Databricks certifications. Direct, hands-on work with the technology stack Geigyr deploys: LoRaWAN sensors, MQTT, edge computing, dashboards, and workflow automation.

The point of the background is not credentials. What really matters is that the person who designs your system, installs the hardware, and answers the phone is the same person who has actually built systems like this before.

Why principal-led

When you work with Geigyr, you work directly with the person responsible for your account. There are no account managers, no handoffs to junior staff, no support tiers. The person who scopes the installation and requirements is the same person who picks up the phone six months later when something needs to change.

This is a deliberate choice, not a temporary stage. Principal-led service is how the practice is designed to operate at the scale we're targeting. It is also how the buyers in our market prefer to buy: owner-operators, plant managers, warehouse operators. They are tired of being passed around. They want to know who is accountable. They want that person to answer the phone.
